Hyundai motor company (hyundai auto) is the largest automobile enterprise in South Korea, formerly belonging to hyundai group, one of the world's 20 largest automobile companies. Founded in 1967, the founder is the former chairman of hyundai group zheng zhouyong. The company is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, and its current chairman is chung mong-koo (son of chung ju-yung).

The annual output of hyundai motor is 1 million, the main products are pony brand, super pony brand, sluta brand small bus and truck. At present, hyundai motor company has developed into hyundai group, whose business scope extends from automobiles to construction, shipbuilding and machinery.

In November 2014, hyundai and its affiliate kia were fined a total of $100 million by U.S. authorities for inflating fuel mileage on some models, the largest ever fine for such a problem, and forfeited $200 million worth of emissions credits. On July 19, 2018, the fortune global 500 list was released, and hyundai motor ranked 78th.

In December 2018, hyundai motor ranked 109th in the 2018 world brand top 500 compiled by the world brand lab.
